Newsletter January 2006

HELLO ALL YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE!

First of all I want to say that I hope you all had some great holidays. I know mine were wonderful. I want to thank you all for the great cards and letters that you sent us. It made our holiday season even better.

Now I need to make a correction. The Playful Penguins are T4657. Sorry about that. I'm not sure how none of us caught that before it went out.

WOW!!! By the time you get this we will be into the year 2006. It just doesn't seem possible. This last year has gone so fast and we have grown so much. We doubled again this year I think. Last year we doubled from the year before. If this happens this year it's going to really keep us hopping.

I hope you like the things that we have added in over the last year and I hope you will like the things that we are bringing out in January. Let me know what you think and definitely keep giving us suggestions and ideas. If you gave us some and we haven't used them yet, it just means that it hasn't been the right time, or we took your ideas and they lead us on to something a little different.

This will be a short newsletter because I'm going to include the new pages for your catalogs. If you have email, these pages can be copied as many times as you need to for your customers. Let me know any mistakes that you find.

Okay, now we have a small glitch. The printer is apparently not open between Christmas and New Years. That means all but four (4) transfers and all of the quilt block packets will not be ready to send out until the second week of January. I would figure they'll be open next week - but since I can't get through to anyone, I don't know that for a fact. I just kept trying to get hold of them to take the prints in and no one has answered their phone or their e-mail. Everything else is ready to go - just not those things that have to go to the printer's.

When you look over the new Paints page, Kits pages, Linen page and Accessories page, be sure to notice not only the price increases, but also, the new items that are listed.

Trying to get the new pages ready to go and fill all the orders from those of you that sent in orders to beat the price increases, has totally wiped me out. I have made a lot of mistakes in orders and I apologize. I will fix them. Just let me know. In reading over the new pages (after printing them all out to send in this newsletter) I discovered that on the Paint page 111 is listed as Scarlet. Please, just change this to Wine. I have fixed the page for future printings and the e-mails.

There is also an increase in the shipping prices starting January 1, 2006. The base price of $6.75 (US) for up to $100.00 retail will stay the same - for each $100.00 in retail after that add 2.00. These prices will be reflected on the order form that comes with your mailed newsletters.

The base price of $13.50 (Canadian) for up to $100.00 retail will stay the same - for each $100.00 in retail after the add $4.00. These prices will be reflected on the order for that comes with your mailed newsletters.

For those of you that use credit cards for your orders - the CID # is found on the back of your card. It's the last three digits of that long line of numbers.

Monthly Class

There will be Five (5) Workshops in January

I am going to try something a little different. There are three (3) workshops that I do every month - Jackson, MI - Temperance, MI - Holly, MI. I have set up dates with these gals for the next three (3) months. If at the end of that time we don't have any folks coming that are coming from reading it in the newsletter (like 4-Hers, people that want to learn new things, people that just want to pick up their orders so they don't have to pay shipping, etc.) I will discontinue putting them in the newsletters.

The workshop in Temperance will be on the second Monday of the month for the next three months. It will start at 5:30 PM and I will stay until 8:30 PM.

The workshop in Holly will be on the third Saturday of the month for the next three months. It will start at 1:00 PM and I will stay until 4:00 PM.

The workshop in Jackson will be on the second Saturday of the month for the next three months. It will start at 2:00 PM and I will stay until 5:00 PM.

Let me know if you will be coming to any of these so that I WILL HAVE ENOUGH SUPPLIES to teach and to fill your orders and let the hostesses know how many to expect.

I always have a workshop here in Manchester on the third Thursday evening of each month at 7:00 PM.

The workshop in Lansing at the Ponderosa on Cedar St. is every other month on the third Thursday at 11:00 AM.

January Schedule is as Follows:

I will be teaching the newly charted T4385. We will be using the new Sparkle Kit colors to paint with and I will be handing out a "How To" page on using the Sparkle Paints. If you want to use the January Special, I will have them on hand.

If you just want to buy everything that you need separately, I will have that on hand too.

Monthly Quilt Clubs:

These will run for a year, one per month. Great teaching tool!!!! Finished products are great gifts, family heirlooms & money-raiser for clubs and church groups. Let me know how you like them. According to how it goes - we can do it again next year.

Final Words

I'm really looking forward to the New Year. There is so much that I want to do.

Of course, we will have lots of new paints over the year.

We have a lot of new transfers that are ready to come in a few at a time and we have some more oldies that are ready to come back in.

Okay, that's all for now.

I hope you all like what we're doing. Keep those suggestions and complaints coming. They are what make the Company what you want it to be. Rest your eyes for now, I'll write more next month.
