Newest Colors

Jade Sparkle

Light Magenta

Dark Blossom Pink

Limited Edition Color

A monthly paint is a paint that comes out one time. That makes them a limited edition. When they are all sold that is it for that paint. We don't use it in charting the transfer designs. They are paints that can add to your palette of colors and add special colors to your designs.

Those who want to use their transfers until the paper deteriorates can actually do that. You can use the Heat Transfer equipment (C528 - Black Transfer Marker $3.95, C529 - Brown Transfer Marker -$3.95, C527 - Dark Green Transfer Marker $3.95, C374 - Blue Transfer Pencil -$1.25 (or get all the Transfer Markers in a Kit - C530 -$10.50) to re-trace your designs until the paper is gone.

If it’s a pre-shaded transfer, you can trace the outline - then iron it on - and by looking at the old transfer, you can either pencil shade the design before you paint it, or just shade and highlight with the paint as you do the design.

If you decide to pencil shade the design, (using a soft pencil, with a nice light stroke) remember that as the paint penetrates the material, it will lock in the pencil shading when it dries and the pencil shading will come up through the paint.

Wow!! I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I said that "starting next year you could order any of the quilt block designs separately with no blocks. This will include every quilt set that we have out there".

In order to do this I have to change every data entry on the computer and re-print every page that has the quilt blocks on them.

Each of the charts has to have the new ‘Q’ numbers on them and have to be reprinted.

All of the ‘Quilt Pak’ pages have to be re-numbered and re-printed.

All of the ‘cover’ pages that are put in the plastic bag with the design has to have the new ‘Q; number put on them so that when you re-order them you will have less problems. Plus, the original individual monthly quilt ‘cover’ pages were not in color and they all have to be brought up to date so that they look like the newer pages. All of the quilt sets that came out as a complete set has to have individual ‘cover’ pages made for each design in the quilt. (Thanks to Lori, this was taken care of on her computer and then returned to me with all the right data and pictures.)

My QuickBooks program numbers all have to be changed to the new ‘Q’ numbers so I can find them easier when you order and the numbers will show up correctly on your invoices.

I’m including the ‘9-piece’ quilts page in with this newsletter with all the right numbers.

I’m putting in the ‘6-piece quilts’ page even though I hadn’t at that point figured out that I needed to change the numbers under the individual quilt designs. Since I already have those printed in color and am still having problems with printers, I’m just going to have you change them on your own. The numbers under each individual picture needs to be changed using the ‘Q’ number instead of the letters.

I will change the ‘12-piece quilts’ page and get them sent out to you in the coming year.

As new quilts come out they will be listed with a ‘Q’ number right from the beginning. This means that the ‘monthly quilt blocks’ next year will have a ‘Q’ number right from the beginning.

Those of you ordering the ‘monthly quilt blocks’ for this year will find that the last two (2) blocks have the ‘Q’ numbers on them right now. The rest of them will be changed during this whole ‘extremely much longer than I thought it was going to be’ process.

The ‘monthly quilt’ pages for this year’s quilts are changed in this news letter so you can see how it works.

This really seemed like a good idea when I first came up with it - and it will really be much better in the future - but I will really be glad when I get it all done.

I hope you all like the new classes that I have included in this newsletter. They all went over well at the October Seminar. People were talking about which shirt that they had at home that they were going to use these new techniques on. I have seen some of the designs done and they look great.

The ‘shadow painting’, done with tape and a brush, is so fast that you can get everyone’s gifts done before the Holidays.

Hopefully this coming year will be smoother sailing than this past year. I sure hope so. Thank you all for sticking with me and putting up with the problems caused by machinery, sickness and the weather.

We want to wish you and Merry and Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We hope all of your Holidays are wonderful and that the New Year brings blessings of good health and lots of happiness.

We always need more dealers. Contact me if you're interested.

The first thing that you need to know - you need a sales tax license from your State Treasury Department. These are usually either free or with a small cost. It means that you are in charge of paying your own sales taxes to your state for the sales that you make to your customers. I don't charge you for your state sales tax, so it's up to you to take care of it.

Here is a tip to get more sales. It works!

If you sell paints to your customers, it will pay you to make sure they get a T4673 - Dots transfer. Make sure that they only fill in the paints that they have. What happens is that they want to fill in all the 'dots', so they keep buying paints, as they can, to make sure that happens

Monthly Quilt Club

Now you can buy the Quilt Block Sets with or without the quilt blocks being included. Just add NB after the quilt set.

In November I come out with the last (2) quilt blocks for each set, so you can get them finished and quilted for gifts or the holidays. That means as of November 1st you can buy the whole year's worth of each quilt (not individual quilt blocks), with or without the blocks – only the full quilt.

These come out one quilt block per month and you can order the present month and any that were put out previously. At the end of the year you will have 12 blocks for each quilt. (January blocks will be #01.)

I will put out a painted picture of each new quilt block in the newsletter. Then, I'm going to try something new; I will put the cover page (the one that shows when the transfer is in the plastic bag) in color, also, that way you have not only the chart to know what color goes where - but, also, a colored picture to go by. This should make it easier for you to paint them whether you are in a class situation or sitting in your home by yourself doing them every month.

Final Words

I’ve been trying to hold down the price on shipping – but now I’m starting to lose money on it and prices are going up at the Post Office starting May 14th. (Prices at other shipping places have already gone up.) The increases they are talking about, on top of what I was already losing, means that starting May 1st, 2007 my shipping prices are going to go up.

  • Up to $100.00 retail the price will be $7.25
  • $100.01 to $200.00 will be $9.75
  • $200.01 to $300.00 will be $11.75
  • $300.01 to $400.00 will be $13.75
  • $400.01 or more – add $3.00 for each $100.00

Remember that shipping is figured on your retail total before your discount.

If you think I should give you a lower shipping amount on your order because it is a small order, you can call and we might be able to adjust it some. No promises though. I’m not in the business of making money on shipping, but sometimes the small orders are what off-set the big orders.

Well, I guess that's all for this month. Keep that those suggestions coming. I need every one of them. See you at a meeting.
